The 2025-2026 school year started and a lot of exciting things are underway!
The Baker Home and School Club (HSC) is a place where parents and teachers come together to share ideas and create an enriching school experience for our Baker Bobcats. Like a PTA, the HSC is run by parent volunteers - except we don't have exclusive members. All of our Baker families are invited to join in and participate in HSC meetings, events and volunteer opportunities. We fundraise throughout the year to support our programs, and to bring more exciting ones to Baker. We can't do any of it without our wonderful Baker parents though, so take a look around and come be a part of it all!
We are moms, dads and legal guardians who are passionate about helping Baker. Many of us work, but volunteer our time to give back to our Bobcats. Officers are elected by Baker families and usually serve two terms.
We welcome diversity of cultures and ideas, so come say hi and join in the fun!

Angelica Woodward -HR Professional and mom to two Baker Bobcats and one future Bobcat. Happy to step into the role of President for the next couple of school years and looking for ways to support families, the school, and the community.
Mel Alvarez - Former business manager turned full-time mom to a mini human Bobcat (who I credit for my interest and deep passion in children's development and education). I love all aspects of life, people, music, art, and exploring new adventures! I am thrilled to be supporting our HSC and committed to ensuring our children have the best experience possible.
Sammit Adhya - New to the Baker Elementary community as a proud parent of a TK student, I'm excited to dive into the HSC and learn all the ways I can support our school and community. When I'm not busy figuring out how to navigate the world of elementary school with our first kiddo in school, I work as a Product Manager at Google and I'm also kept on my toes by a lively one-year-old. Having gone through public education myself, I'm a strong believer in the public education system so I'm eager to contribute my skills and energy to making Baker Elementary the best it can be.
Christine Prather - Real Estate Agent, mom to a Baker Bobcat and a Moreland Mustang, and a lover of books, music, movies, trying new candies, and baking.
Layla Kadric - Full-time Accounting Clerk, SCRIP Coordinator since 2016, mom to one Baker Bobcat and two Moreland Mustangs, and devoted dance mom.
Heather Moore - A proud mom of four—three former Bobcats and one current Bobcat. In between navigating school drop-offs and soccer practices, I work full-time as an audit partner at a national public accounting firm. Being part of the Baker community for many years has been a true blessing, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give back and help make Baker the best it can be.
